drug testingDrug
screening is required for participants If you are using any street drugs
be prepared for the fact that regular drug screening will keep you from participating
in our clinical trials.
| | |
| Why do we require drug screening? Why does
it matter if you use other drugs? Street drugs such as cocaine, marijuana,
ecstasy, and others can't be used if you are a participating in clinical trials.
Many of the compounds being tested work on the same receptors in the brain that
street drugs affect. Disorder symptoms are sometimes masked by the use of street
drugs. In addition, benefits from a study medication could be masked by a street
drug. Therefore, a requirement of participating in our clinical trials is
passing an initial urine drug screen, as well as taking additional screens during
office visits.
